Readers react as renowned Lancashire cheese makers and sellers Singletons & Co of Longridge goes into administration

On Monday (August 22), renowned Lancashire cheesemakers and cheesemongers Singletons of Longridge announced it had gone into administration.

Based on Preston Road, Longridge, the family run business has been running for over eight years, and became renowned for its extensive and innovative range of products with local links including Parlick pure sheep’s milk cheese, Beacon Fell Traditional Creamy Lancashire, Grandma Singleton’s Famously Strong Lancashire and Bowland Cheddar.
