Readers react as renowned Lancashire cheese makers and sellers Singletons & Co of Longridge goes into administration

Yesterday, the Post reported how 69 staff at the Singleton’s Dairy Limited base were told they were redundant with immediate effect, whilst just 12 workers have been retained to help with the administration process.

Based on Preston Road, Longridge, the family run business has been running for over eight years, and became renowned for its extensive and innovative range of products with local links including Parlick pure sheep’s milk cheese, Beacon Fell Traditional Creamy Lancashire, Grandma Singleton’s Famously Strong Lancashire and Bowland Cheddar.
