British Transport Police were called to York Bridge following reports of a person being struck by a train.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “Our officers were called to York Bridge, Lancaster Road, Morecambe on Wednesday, 10 February, at around 9.45pm, following reports of a person being struck by a train.

Hide Ad“Paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service also attended and a 53-year-old man with head injuries was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.”
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
A spokesman for Network Rail said: “A person was hit by the Lancaster to Morecambe train just outside Morecambe station at 9.47pm on Wednesday.
“The man was taken to hospital and the incident was not suspicious.”
