Assistant manager Reno calls on Brig to bounce back from back-to-back defeats
Brig lost 3-1 to NPL First Division North strugglers Radcliffe Borough at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium and Reynolds said the dressing room was dejected, disappointed and low in confidence after the game.
But the ex-Clitheroe player says you cannot write off 14th-placed Brig, despite back-to-back defeats, and urged the players to bounce back when they travel to sixth-placed Clitheroe’s Shawbridge ground on Boxing Day.

“My emotions came out after the game against Boro. Clitheroe means a lot to me, I played there for a number of years.
“It is not my emotions ruling my head and my heart in terms of what we need to do but we need to be better than what we where against Boro if we are going to get something at Clitheroe – they are on a great run.
“Then we have got a home game against Burscough. It is going to be difficult but when the chips are down that is when you rally round. You can’t rule Bamber Bridge out, we have some real quality in that dressing room and we have got to pick ourselves up. The only thing you can do after back-to-back defeats is to get better. We will address it and hopefully put it right against Clitheroe on Boxing Day.”

He said: “It is difficult to take positives out of the game because it is another defeat.
“Ally Waddecar returning from injury was a boost. It was his first start in 14 weeks. Jamie Milligan returned to the fray and I thought he was outstanding in the first half.“
