Enjoy a Champion night at Hall
First past the post is Bob Champion, former jump jockey who won the 1981 Grand National on Aldaniti – two years after being diagnosed with cancer. He’s since raised millions for cancer research through the Bob Champion Cancer Trust.
He’s joined by another inspirational former jockey, BBC commentator Richard Pitman, horse breeder, novelist and the man who donated a kidney after seeing one his close friends benefit from a kidney transplant. Richard rode 470 winners in his career – although Red Rum pipped him to the post.
