Five vocal, upbeat, rock & roll sextet star27 from Preston have been working hard over the last 3 years to build a reputation around the UK as one of the most original and uplifting new bands around.
They've put 2 national tours under their belt picking up dedicated fans from Islington to Dundee, along the way stopping in to share stages with, amongst others, The Kooks, Little Man Tate, Envelopes, Bearsuit and Arctic Monkeys as well as playing sell out shows in both their hometown of Preston and nearby Manchester including an In The City '06 performance which was given rave reviews from the BBC.
In early 2007 things have really taken off for star27 with Caroline True Records (www.carolinetruerecords.co.uk) agreeing to release tha bands debut EP '1, 2, begin now' on 14th May 2007, MTV asking to come to the EP launch party at 53degrees on March 15th to film and interview the band and Radio1s Steve Lamacq, after naming their song 'bukowski's secret' in his top ten demos of 2006 has asked the band to travel to the BBCs Maida Vale studios on Mon 5th March to record a live session and interview for broadcast in his In New Music We Trust show.
