This month President Joan Woolmington welcomed visitors from Great Harwood, Oswaldtwistle, Hust Green and Knowle Green and Dutton W I's who together with Balderstone members were fascinated by the splendid slide show to music by Mr. Peter Sandiford entitled "Petes Travels-Italian Job".
Pete together with his wife and friends travelled by caravan on a holiday to Northern Italy taking in Florence, Rome, The Vatican City, a boat trip sailing round the isle of Capri, Venice and finally Lake Garda. The trip took around six weeks.

Member Ann Royle has received her W I Advisors Certificate from the Lancashire Federation presented to her by Sally Roberts at the Autumn Council Meeting, The group wished her well and hope she enjoys her time as a W I Advisor.

This months competition for " a souvenir from Italy" was won by Florence Sourbuts, 2nd was Carolyn Hymas.

The raffle prize winners were Teresa Slater, Maureen Smith and Joan Halstead and the remainder of the prizes went to the visitors.

The Christmas Party will be at the Feildens Arms Mellor Brook on the 9th December.
