We women love our jewellery and at our meeting we saw and marvelled at a wonderful jewellery display case.
Valerie Maxlow is a very talented lady and she gave a very informative and wonderful talk on her Hand-Maiden necklaces, earrings and bracelets plus some beautiful beaded scarves.

Because of illness, Valerie started making jewellery for fund-raising at her local church.

Her relatives in Canada and New Zealand frequently post her hundreds of beads and so she has many unique designs to her collection.

After Valerie's talk the annual Bring & Buy/Cake stall/Bric-a-brac event was opened with lots of goodies on the stalls.

This is our only fund-raising event and all the money raised will go into our funds.

Competition: A jewellery box
Winner: Barbara Bamber

Next month, on November 11, it will be the annual General Meeting and the competition is "Autumn Leaves".

This will be held at the Village Hall, School Lane, Freckleton. If you are interested, do please come along and join in, you will be made very welcome.
