One might assume that our absence from Your Diary was doom-laden and that our virility was on the wain.
True, our average age is in the eighties, but a glance at our octogenarian activity bodes well for that decade.

Yes, Secretary Harold Gardner works with quite efficiency but chairman Kevin McName is a bundle of novel ideas for activities, with the energy to push them forward.

Jack Smith, still our treasurer and standard bearer, is ready always to show honour at bereavements and national events.

We do rely still a good deal on the all-round excellence of Glyn Williams to keep us widely informed on the wider aspects of Parachute Regimental concerns.

Moreover his Region News edition of items near and far, well presented and colourfully illustrated has the apt name 'Canopy', after that lifesaving umbrella of nylon which has seen us all safely to ground so often.

The two Para battalions in active service today, the 2nd and 3rd reminds us that their casualties are marks of what they are doing on our behalf, on behalf of each citizen of UK and beyond.
