A team of paranormal investigators from Lancashire got more than they bargained for on their second visit to an Inn in Leyland.
During the investigation the team undertook an experiment where they asked the spirits to move a table.

The table moved suddenly and violently, then spun around several times, nearly knocking one team member off her feet.

Other strange phenomena included all of the group hearing a low pitch groan at exactly the same time, lights flickering, and unexplained sensations felt by a member of the group.

Team member Andy Proctor, from Blackburn, describes events on the night of the visit as "the most amazing night of phenomena we have ever witnessed".

The Ley Inn, in Chorley, is subject to many rumours of a hanging in the late 18th century.

During the Ouija experiment a former Inn owner Robert O'Neil and his employee James Silcock came forward.

Andy said: "Robert informed us that he once owned the land which the Ley Inn now stands on, and that he accidentally killed James Silcock, who it seems was making advances towards Robert's daughter.

"We were informed, that Robert tied up a rope and wrapped it around James' neck, in order to scare him in to leaving his daughter alone, however, these actions resulted in James' death.

"Whether or not these stories are connected to the original claims of the hanging which took place here, we are not sure."

Fellow team member Victoria Taylor said: "We made contact with a spirit called Arabelle, who we think was Robert O'Neil's daughter.

"She was born in 1746 and died at the age of 17. She said she'd been strangled by James Silcock, which would explain her father's actions.

"We think we've solved a mystery dating back nearly 250 years."

WE INVESTIGATE PARANORMAL TEAM,

What a fantastic night we had investigating the Ley Inn!! Our most active Investigation to date. The above presentation of our Investigation is just a snippit of phenomena witnessed. The fantastic table movement (Typology) went on for almost an hour, and never before have we witnessed this sort of response. We can certainly verify that if ghosts do exist, they are roaming at the Ley Inn Function Rooms!!! Andy, Vicky, Dawn. WE INVESTIGATE.

No offence, but the quality of that video is poor and the commentary over-the-top.Shame really. The video lets down what appears to be an interesting story. Suggest that you get a better quality video camera and provide more reasoned commentaries in future. Less melodrama please. Also, it would lend far more credence to your story if you investigated the 'evidence' (eg dates, register of births/deaths, former residents of the property etc) via the local Records Office rather than presenting alleged spirit information provided via an Oija Board as fact.

To clear up the point made above, the Image Quality is not the cameras, which are a well known Night Vision camera Brand(s). Unfortunatly, it seems that the issues may indeed be with ones own computer. Happen you may wish to check that out. As far as investigating the Evidence, we would love to confirm any of the received information, and reserch in to backing up these findings are, as always, a priority, and at no point, during this presentation was the information received via the Ouija board experiment said to be FACT! and if anybody was able to shed light on the history of the Ley Inn,then your information would be gratefully appreciated.

The video quality is very poor -when will paranormal investigators stop using the old Victorian table tipping etc. Shades of M.H.You do not really know who you are contacting-would you open your house door to any stranger?Where is your clairvoyant- who should be 'clear seeing '.what is going on.Did you help the girl to cross over to LIGHT?She suffered terribly but has now been helped to cross.Did you check the Ley lines in that area. There is a lot of misused energy lines at present and you should be very aware of mischief makers from the next plane of existance can very easily be contacted.

I am a member of paranormal investigation team myself. However where we differ from most investigation teams is that we don,t try contacting anybody. We set up all are equipment then go for a brew and a chat with the owner of the property. Then next day we reveiw all the footage for any paranormal activity, this we believe reduces the factor of antisipation and expectancy within the investigators. And therefore anything that does appear or is heard, hopefully we will not have been a factor.

We are advised, that unfortunatley, due to an uploading issue, the quality of this recording has been distorted, and does not reflect the original recording. To take a look at more WE INVESTIGATE videos on the L.E.P website, type in the following: ghosthunting in historic pub : ghost found in park cafe : pub is full of dunkirk spirits : ghosthunters brave the night on pendle hill. for some more fascinating investigations.

Hmmm ... Like I said earlier: less melodrama please. You are in serious danger of over-hyping yourselves and bringing your own credibility into question.

There are several points I would like to comment on. Firstly, the quality of the video evidence leaves a lot to be desired. This was mentioned in a previous post and you said that it was down to the individual computor. When it was mentioned again in a later post you changed your mind and said that it was an "uploading problem". Which is it please as I have never experienced either of these problems when I have been uploading video evidence.
Secondly, the "table tipping". This is not generally regarded as reliable evidence as when it is shown on poor quality, underexposed video it is unreliable and could be translated as "stage managed". The same applies to the barrel rolling in the cellar. In my experience most cellars in buildings of that age have uneven floors so things can roll backwards and forwards when set in motion. (I am not suggesting that this is the case in your investigation).
Thirdly, and most importantly, the use of a Ouiji Board. Any Spiritual Medium worth his (or her) salt will strongly advise against the use of a Ouiji Board as they can open up portals that allow negative and dangerous "energies" through. You might be better enlisting a Medium or at the least a couple of Psychic Sensitives on to your team to replace the Ouiji Board.
As the last point/question, you do not mention what you did about the spirits you contacted. Did you do anything to help those spirit to find eternal peace beyond the veil?
